GENOA LEAD CARS/SLIDES
With my recent purchase of the S2, it appears the lead cars/slide are missing. What type are normally used? New to S2...looking for a low priced item. Saw a few at West Marine for $250 each...ouch!
Re: GENOA LEAD CARS/SLIDES
Captn,
The OEM is the Schaefer Genoa Twin Sheet Lead car. They run about $185 at Jamestown Dist. The issue is the track thickness size, if you have the 1" (25mm) track they will need to be filed out a bit since they are 3mm depth and the old track is just a bit thicker.
From a quick search of the repair forum, I noticed this: "I found that Garhauer LLC-1UB fit the old track perfect. These are low profile single lead cars but they do make a twin lead and stand-up blocks version as well. They have a SWL of 2000lbs and are ball brearing." They run about $60 each on the web.
Thanks,
