I'm thinking....just thinking about, eh? ----- installing a halyard exit box on the mast about 6 inches above the headstay, for a spinnaker. I don't want to get it too close to the existing box, and compromise the strength of the mast. On the other hand, I don't want it so high that I need a different spinnaker.

Has anybody done this or do you all just use the two halyards you've got?

Re: spinnaker halyard exit
You could install the halyard exit a safe distance above the forestay and then a short distance above the forestay install a "bulls eye" fairlead or better, a stainless strap with swivel block for the halyard. Much less likely to weaken the mast.
