Hey Mr. Robbie -

That is a very instructive video. Thanks for sharing.
We like to think that we race under clear, hard and fast rules, but as the vid shows,
there is a lot of ambiguity out there on the water.
I think the idea is to just sail as fairly as we can, and try not to be jerks.

Thanks AJ. Our frostbite series is very competitive, but we don't play bumper boats and try to use the rules situations that come up as "Educational" opportunities to use in the serious races.

We had some great e-mail exchanges with our local judge about the video and what both of us were thinking. The J offered to retire, but I told him "no way".

It was my loss for not having a flag and would be wrong for him to retire when I couldn't follow the rules myself.

Great lessons learned in intense and fun conditions.
