Will an inboard mounted depth sounder work in my 7.9 hull?
(submirsed in liquid) Are there good and bad locations for it?
Thanks in advance

I had an old fishfinder from an old boat I sold. I installed it on my s-2 with the transducer epoxied an inch or 2 away from the old transducer. Works great! Before I installed it, I tested the location by putting the transducer in a baggy full of water and held it in place with the fish finder turned on. It showed the correct depth, and I just epoxied it directly to the hull.

10/4 guys ........thanks
I have just installed a Airmar 79, shoot thru-hull. Works with mineral oil, no holes to drill, just glue it with 3M 4200. You need to install it were there is solid glass, no wood core or it wont work. Another S2 7.9 sailor told me exactly where, right in front of the keel, 10" wide x 18" long section is solid glass, it's obvious when you look. My depth sounder is working great!
