New to S2s and racing as well - there are some things I do not know, in spite of having been sailing most of my life.
Our 7.9 has a cam cleat near the toerail port and stbd that is labelled, "Barber". There is no obvious use and no block for turning a line into it.
What is it for?
What is it?

I think you should have one on both sides at least we do. The Barber hauls and Spinnaker tweakers get run through there. If you set up the Barber haul correctly it can double as both. We have 2 snatch blocks we clip to the toe rail that we run the barber haul line through. Then at the end we attached a shackle so that the genoa sheets or spinnacker sheets can run through them.
