Rudder Cheekplates Replacement

As the owner of a machine shop and 7.9 I could with almost 100% accuracy say the cheekplates are 6061 with black anodize. The chainplates are probably cold rolled stainless steel 304.
When having the cheekplates abodized don't skimp, if they use a cheap dye they will turn purple in a year or 2 from UV light.

As I posted earlier, I added small, flat sacrificial zincs to the pintles; so far it looks like they've significantly reduced, if no eliminated, the corrosion I had observed on the aluminum plates after only 2 months in salt water.

I manufactured new cheekplates. 6061 aluminum with type 3 hardcoat black anodize. I made 2 sets, one for me and one to sell. Check "classifieds".
