Replacement bushings for rudder gudgeons
Anybody have a supplier for the rudder bushings in the gudgeons? Assume these are delrin?

Don, you are correct, they are delrin. See the post in the 'Classifieds' section for a more detailed plastics discussion. Unfortunately, the bushings are all gone. (personal note - I gave Tim my spares last summer. Did they fail or is there a chance you still have a pair lying around? )

I will fabricate new bushings for my 7.9. I removed one of them and the flange portion is all distorted. I think they were UHMW not delrin but that's here nor there. The internal dimension is the same on both, 0.655". My boat is covered and can't get at the pintles. If they're 5/8" shouldn't they be a bit more snug? Does anyone have the internal dimension of what they were when new?

I purchased 2 from the gentleman who was making them before. I measured them when I received then.

Thanks Larry, those dimensions are exactly what I needed.
When installed are the flange sides facing up? Seems it should be the other way but I guess the rudder keeps the pressure up since it wants to float. Mine were facing up and I only had a cotter pin installed in each one. Maybe I should add a washer.
