Does any one have experience removing the toe rail. I removed the screws last fall, but the rail seems to firmly imbedded. I have some leaking do to a minor collison and a dent in the toe rail. I am planning to bring the toe rail to an aluminum welding shop (prop shop) for repair.
Thanks,

Toe rail
Hi Joe
The toe rail is glued (pretty firmly) in place. There was a post on the old forum about removing it with piano wire. It sounded like quite a pain, but if you've got a leak, something needs to be done.
Here is the address for the old forum: http://www.boatsit.com/discus/messages/106/106.html
Be certain to bed both the replaced toe rail and the screws you removed with some type of marine silicone / sealer.
