Sad News -A death in the Family

Post by Stockli Racer »

A good friend of mine, and a great friend to our class, former Class President, newsletter editor, and all around 7.9 advocate for many years, John Snow, has passed away following a brief illness, leaving behind wife Marie, and two small children. Funeral arrangements are pending, and will be posted when known.

I raced with and against John in the class for many years, and in all that time, never heard him utter a bad word about anyone - we should all be so lucky to have such a legacy.

He will be missed.

My thoughts are with Marie and the family.
Talked to John, several times, when I first got my boat. Always cheerful and helpful.

Thanks to Matt Dubois for arranging for flowers to be sent from all the members of The S2 7.9 Class Association.

John represented the best ethic of the sport - He gave more than he received. We all have benefitted from what John and Marie did, and the legacy that they helped perpetuate for 7.9ers.
Best wishes,
Tom
