Detroit NOOD

Post by John Spierling »

The past two seasons there have not been enough boats interested in attending the Detroit NOOD for a S2 7.9 class. Is there any interest from the class in Detroit for 2007? Please respond if you are interested.

Instigator is interested.

The 7.9 is my first pick but if we can't get 8 boats, the J-35 is my second.

Hey guys - There are 3 of us signed up so far & looking for more. If you know of anybody that might be interested, please let them know. Or, if you have their contact info, you can pm me with it & I'll try to contact them.

p.s. Bernoulli - you don't really want to use up the life in those expensive J35 sails, do you?? 7.9 sounds better..

Doug (Robyn), put your entry in. If everybody waits, we might not get enough boats. The entry fee is refundable if we don't get a class or if you can't make it. It sounds like this is the tact that many are taking by waiting to see how many are signed up before they will sign up. Spike is trying to get Frequent Flyer down for the regatta, although Spike will probably not be on the boat.
How about Grrr, Wind Dog, Habenaro, Aelous, Grand Illusion, Relentless, and Prime Time??? Can we get you guys interested??? Any West Michigan 7.9er's interested??? Maybe we will get more interested parties after Annapolis NOOD is over. Rumor is that they are moving the course closer, so the ride out to the course shouldn't be as long. Plus the parties at Bayview won't be topped. My crew is bringing a RV to Bayview for the weekend, they should be in good shape for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
