Hi Everyone,
I just bought 7.9 #90 and it's my first boat. I have a question about the dagger board rig. How exactly is it supposed to be set up -- or what is the best way to set it up? I replaced the line and noticed cheek blocks on both sides of the tang. But if I were to cross over, it seems there would be serious wear on the line when the board was hauled fully up. I'm I supposed to use both of these blocks?
Thanks
Rich

factory setup only has one block with a becket on the fore side of tang; line routed becket to lower sheve, then through the lower block, then over the upper sheve and out the starboard side, this well yield a 3-1 purchase, seems to work well enough with my 2 speed cabin top winches, oh how nice a self tailing winch would be in it's place, some do perfer a 4-1 setup, more line and more cranks to get it up

The 4:1 lift was an approved mod early on, previous owner had it done to my boat (#11) the line ties off up under the plate with a stopper knot through a small loop thats welded to the plate, then down through a fiddle block that bolted to the front of the tang.
I've got mine open for maintnenace right now, so I'll snap a few jpeg pictures, and if I can figure out how to port them, I'll do it later today.
The boats in my driveway, about 30' from where i'm sitting, hope to launch tomorrow.

oops, forgot that I can't post directly to this forum;
I've got a few good pics that show exactly the stock; 4:1 lift system.
p.m. me and I'll send them to you.
Maybe soneone a little more techno oriented can post them for me.
