Horizon will be there.
We're planning on having a cook-out/party Thursday night at a house in Eastport ( about 3 blocks from AYC). We'll post details later. We're beating the bushes for dockage, but it's an uphill battle. Any good news will be posted. Currenty we're planning to launch at Truxton Park on Thursday and finding space at AYC. If you call for a reserved slip at AYC, they will probably say no (as they did other years). But, we've 'found' space every year for the last 5 years.
Stay posted for updates as we get closer to race day.

Excellent Tom. Glad you're coming (enter pls).
I've been beating the bush and here's the info I have.
Rooster Tail, Defiant, Upside Up are also coming. So I think we'll definitely have a start (yea).
Additionally: Stef from PA is trying to make it to his first class race.I have a probably from 'Coup de Vent' and possibly from 'Too Many Cooks'. I haven't heard from 'Surprise' but he usually is there. Someone in Mass wake up Barry and tell him to shovel off 'Club Car'.
Don't forget that there will be a 'gathering' on Thursday at the 'Cat House'(see map)
Here's the link to a map I've been putting together for those who haven't been to 'Naptown' ( a nice little drinking town with a sailing problem).

Annapolis
Hey Everyone
Annapolis is a fun, fun regatta. If you're even remotely close to the area, don't miss it!
Bob has done a terrific job of coordinating, planning and generally making things both easy and fun for all of the 7.9ers. He's got the inside scoop on everything from launch sites to dock space. That is an added, more or less free, bonus for our class.
Take advantage of his hospitality while he's still in a generous mood. (You never know what happens to folks once they hit the open road in a motor 'home'. Generally speaking, they wind up at Burning Man, and soon thereafter are struck by how much of a good idea it would be to follow the Grateful Dead around for a while, all the time financing the new lifestyle selling grilled cheese sandwiches in the parking lot outside the concerts....whereupon they typically vanish into the ether, or something like that.)
So act now!!! Last time I talked to Bob I thought I heard Alabama Getaway in the background, and he was saying something about a handy government-cheese-give-away program.
Oh and thanks Bob

Good Times In "NapTown"
Like most have said, Bob does an excellent job putting together good times for the 7.9ers. This year will hopefully be my 8th "naptown" with good weather, great food, and cold drinks with some racing thrown in for good measure. On that note, I have no ride YET, so I'm going to hitchhike a little bit. If you're one short, or need an experienced NOOD guy, call me or email me. I'll get myself out there, and from then on it'll be great times. Hope to see you all in a few weeks.
