my rudder broke!
Hit a log and sheared off the trailing edge where the pin secures rudder down. Just enough material gone to maybe affect a repair with epoxy but should I notch it out and epoxy in a plug and will it adhere to the foam..any ideas?..other than next time use a wooden dowel?..

						Hi (impulse),
You have a fairly easy repair on your hands. I would suggest restoring the dammaged top corner with thickened epoxy. it will adhere to the foam fairly well. It would be best to cover the repair with a couple of layers of fiberglass for strength because any minor hit to rudder will likely break the joint where epoxy meets foam.
