Outboard Bracket

We recently pulled our BMW D7 inboard to have it serviced as it only circulated raw water at low RPM and ran hot when throttled up. Plan B is to mount an outboard on a Garelick Stainless O/B Bracket. Where do we drill the holes for the mounting bracket?

If someone could measure theirs up to the top of the transom and over to the rudder center-line, please give me some idea what will work best.
