7.9 Hull Line Drawing

Post by gris-gris »

I've seen a hull line drawing for a S2 9.1
Does anyone have an accurate, large scale line drawing the 7.9 ?

The best I have is page 3 of the owners manual that is on the http://hottamaleracing.com/links.php
(I have the page as a .jpg as well)

Re: 7.9 Underbody Hull Line Drawing

Thanks Tim.
I have the owners manual - a copy of a copy of copy..... And I want a clean drawing like on page three.
I may have mis-spoke. I am actually looking for a underbody line drawing, showing the dimensions of the hull shape.

I'll ask S2 for hull line drawings. Worst case is they turn me down.

I have accurate line drawings generated from the original G&S drawings. I could send you a simple black and white version? What ya need it for?

The immediate need is for the trailer manufacturer. Since he is 500 miles from the boat, he wants some accurate data for bunk placement, center of gravity (tongue weight), bow support, etc.
For me, I'd frame it and put it on the wall.

Ah, I see. I don't have the hull section views for the 7.9, which is what you need. Most places don't freely give those type drawings away because you could just build your own 7.9 from them or make a 7.9 clone.

Your best bet is to have someone with a really good fitting trailer give you the basic dimensions from their trailer. S2/Tiara may have that info?

I too would be interested in getting my hands on a hull drawing to make a 1/2 hull and perhaps a replica model.

My inquiries to Tiara(S2) turned up that they have long ago discarded the hull line drwawings they had.

That's a shame. Thanks for the effort Tim. Much appreciated. I know a guy who made a 1/2 hull model of the old Sadie Hawkins (#13). I'll ask him if he has a copy of the drawings.
