Hello Fellow S2 7.9 Enthusiasts!
I have all the ingredients to go to the Midwinters in Charleston (desire, boat, crew). What I am missing is a way to get my boat there. Pls. advise if any of you out there have a similar dilemna....dont trailer the boat enough to justify owning a truck, but definitely need a truck for the approx 4 x per year to show up to key events.
I'm really trying to get to Charleston for sailing and Bubba Gump shrimp.
Any suggestions?????
Thanks in advance!

Trucks
A couple of years ago we rented a Dodge diesel pick up truck. Not the big one, just the standard king cab model. It never even knew that the boat was back there! 'Thrifty' had the vehicle back then, but had none available last year.
Best wishes,
Tom

Uhaul
I don't know where you are located but in Florida, Uhaul would't rent me a truck to tow my 7.9 They said I couldn't tow the boat on it's own trailer and the only way you can tow is on one of theirs. According to them it spelled out in the fine print of the contract.
