S2 7.9 NOOD Regatta Stimulus Package

I had this idea e-mailed to me, and the class has decided to give it a try.

In going with the trend of Economic Stimulus, the S2 7.9 Class has decided to try one too. Here's how it is going to work: For all NOOD regatta registered entries in the 7.9 class for the Annapolis, Detroit, and Chicago events, we will have a drawing at each regatta and pick one boat to have their entry fee for the regatta paid for by the class (the winner will get reimbursed for the entry fee that they paid for the event). We hope that this incentive will attract more participants to these events. These drawnings will be completely random (put all the boat names for the regatta in a hat, and pull out the winner). Hopefully we can build some camaraderie in the fleet and have some fun with this too.

There are about 6 weeks left till the Annapolis NOOD, and we have 5 boats registered at this time. Let's try to get over 10 boats on the starting line. Annapolis is a great venue, and who knows, maybe you will be the lucky winner of a fully paid entry fee.
