Dented mast plate

I'm getting close to finishing repairs to the mast base area. But the compression in the deck beneath the base plate caused a dent from the half moon shoe in the plate itself. Anybody ever just pounded the thing flat again. Thanks, Tom Cassidy 352

That half round mast base creates some SERIOUS point loading!!!!!!!!!!!! :shock: :oops:
