ST PETE'S NOOD REGATTA.

Post by Mark Gutteridge »

Here goes. An attempt to see who is planning on attending St. Pete's.
HUNTING PARTY is 90 percent committed depending on some fine points.I have no conflict with a ski trip this year.
I noticed they have finally posted an entry application on the website.
I have not heard that people are lineingup for any othe rrgatta , that I know of.

Rebel is in for St. Pete. From conversations that I have had, here are others that I know are planning on attending: Itch, Frequent Flyer, Magic, and Smac (520). With Hunting Party, that makes six so far, not counting any of the local boats.

Rock On is a possible for St. Pete NOOD this year. I will start confirming crew this week. As for the CHR it may be possible, not sure we can swing the extra day's off at work. If only one regatta, St Pete is easier for us.

It's about 7 weeks away, get on the Sailing World website and register for the regatta. We currently have four boats registered (3 Sarnia boats, and the good Dr. Paul), let's get more registrations in. We are also going to make this the S2 Mid-Winter Championship. We could easily have 11 boats on the starting line with the rumored boats (SMAC, Majic. Rock On, Money Shot, and some more of the local Floridians) that are going to register.
Hope to see you in St. Pete.

Magic will not be attending any winter events and the boat is for sale. I will post the info online soon. The boat is race ready and I would consider delivery to St. Pete or Charlotte harbor.

Hey John
Per normal for St Pete - No way I can do this one.
As much as St Pete looks way better than Chicago or Minneapolis, especially in the middle of winter....
Have a great time. Enjoy the sailing, and good luck.

We are now up to 10 boats registered for St. Pete NOOD. If you are planning on attending, Jan 31 at 5pm is the deadline to pay with out having to pay the $50 late fee. Can't wait to get out on the water and see the sun and feel the warmth of Florida. Look forward to seeing everyone at the regatta. We will try to organize a class get-together either Wednesday or Thursday night at one of the local establishments.

Or does the prez have a plan for a small get together in the works?

Guts,
Dr. Itch and the Prez are planning a class get-together at one of the local establishments, but we could do it Friday or Saturday night. Hockey game sounds great, I'm sure the Rebel gang will be up for the game. Hopefully the Wings will have scored a goal by then, two shutouts in arow against them. When are you leaving Sarnia?? I'm thinking of leaving Sunday morning, looking for a good weather window, I don't want to drive down in a snow strom again. I'm sick of seeing snow. See you in St. Pete!!

ROCK ON, WE GOT 10 BOATS!!! WEARE PLANNIG ON GETTING TOGETHER THURSDAY NIGHT FOR THE DETROIT - TAMPA BAY HOCKEY GAME, AND WILL FIND A LOCAL ESTABLISHMENT FOR A CLASS GET-TOGETHER ON FRIDAY NIGHT.
DRIVE SAFE ON THE WAY DOWN, WEATHER FORECAST LOOKS GREAT FOR NEXT WEEK (FINGERS ARE CROSSED), ANYTHING WILL BE BETTER THAN THE 10 DEGREES AND A FOOT OF SNOW ON THE GROUND THAT WE HAVE IN THE DETROIT AREA. I PICKED UP THE TROPHIES FOR THE MID-WINTER'S PART OF THE REGATTA TODAY, AND THEY LOOK GOOD.
WE WILL SEE EVERYONE IN ST. PETE.
