A short story of Blackbeard (#457) was published in Sailing World's October issue.

Craigslist Grand Rapids has one listed in Saugatuck. Do a search for sailboats.

I have hull # 92. It was owned be someone named Schnell. I found out its name was "Mach Schnell". And I still have what must be all the original OD sails.
Re: Looking for old 7.9's
I have hull 68, and a fellow club member has 27.
My boat was formerly named, "Ni Modo," and prior to that from the graphic shadow on the side, "Synapse."
Presently "Rum Line."
I can't tell much of the history of hull 27, presently just has a "Hornet" for a logo.
