Stern "grab loops" and cabin top hatch slides

Post by toeknee »

All,
I just purchased a 7.9 and it has a full stern rail. Can anyone tell me where to get a set of the stern grab loops?

Also, can the companionway cabin top hatch slides still be purchased?

Thanks.

The stern 'hoops' were supplied by "Tops in Quality" in Michigan.
I have a suspicion that they might be out of business now. But here's the info...

148 Huron Blvd
Marysville, MI 48040

(810) 364-7150

You might try S2 Yachts in Holland for the slides.

Are you going to pull the stern rail? I have a couple of people interested in it.
A few years back we made new slides for the main hatch. We bought a 1x3x4ft black plastic piece and fabbed them up on the table saw.

About three years ago we bought new rails from Tiarra (sp?) boats in Holland. They had some in stock and the price was fair.

I replaced my wooden hatch slides with plastic fence trim sold at home depot... it has been on my boat for the last 5 years and works really well.

It sometimes gets a little snug to the lexan hatch, but I just spray mclube in there and it slides really easy.

Yes, I will sell the full stern rail. I am having loops made for mine.
