Is there anything, short of replacing them, I can do to inprove the old origional windows? They are scratched and whitish.
I know that I can't make them like new but would like to improve them, if possible.
I have replaced one on another 7.9 and don't really want to do that again.

I would be tempted to try the products sold to polish automotive hedlights. You can also uae wet sandpaper starting with extremely fine grit working up to about 12000 grit,
