Hey guys,
I just put up my new North 3DL 135 genoa. Unfortunately, the spreader patches appear to be too high. Additionally, and maybe worse, the luff dimension seems too long--I can't get any luff tension. I have a roller furling. Any ideas? I hate to send it back now--series racing starts next weekend!

Re: New sail question
What is the luff dimension of the new sail? Perhaps you can make some adjustment with the turnbuckle and extend the headstay ? The only other idea could be to put an eye in the luff and run a cunningham to it -

Re: New sail question
John,
you should be running at max headstay length as in the rules (on the Class site), but the stock 7.9 headsail is tacked at the deck level (on the little horns of the stem fitting. your roller furling effectively raises the tack point a ways. best way to fix it is to raise a 100' measuring tape on your jib halyard and measure the luff length you need for the roller furler, then have North re-do the sail. or, can you takeoff the furler for racing?
