Post by taylodp »

Can anyone tell me the numbers that the upper and lowers should be set at using the Loos Tension Gauge Model PT-2

Well, I am certainly no expert, but the Loos website has the equivalency table between the old "Model B" and the PT-2. The Doyle Boston 7.9 tuning guide has the numbers for the "Model B", so then you can extrapolate!

Using the Loos Model PT-2 Tension Gauge I set my upper shrouds at 22 and my lowers at 17. What numbers are others using?

I also use a PT-2. Generally have outers at 17, inner at 13. Winds are typically light here during the summer months. When it comes up I tighten to 19 & 15. My gauge has the ft/lb equivalents posted on it.

It all depends on which mast you have.
