Boom Kicker Model ?

Post by greatlaker366 »

Mfg recommends model 800 but I know the booms are quite heavy duty for 26' boats and wonder if the K1000 model is better choice? ( I saw in older post that someone recommended the 1000 also)

Any suggestions welcome!

Those guys have the best support ever...
K1061 model is the newest one I think (digging through my emails from last year), and I used the 9/16" rods they seem plenty stiff enough

I have a much older K1000 model and someone cut the rods to short, they helped get me replacement glass rods, and smaller diameter too.

I should say ignore the reef and my make-shift vang setup... I was attempting to increase vang strength, and that was my temporary setup... I went from 3:1 to 6:1 to see if it made things easier... it did. now I need to rearrange things to I can put the vang controls back on the cabintop.
