OOPS; I must have been color blind when I made that last post. I meant to say "White" Water Marine, not "Blue Water Marine. White Water Marine on Water St, Port Huron has most of the build specs for the stainless hardware, Pulpits, stanchions, gudgeons, pintles, etc.

Re: upper rudder mount
I've used Stef's machined bushings on my rudder... smoothed it right out (2 seasons now). He's much smarter than I (don't tell him he'll get a big-er head), and he remembered to put them on his mast upper/support for trailering... I'll likely be buying a few extra from him as well since I didn't remember thatalanhsails wrote:I'm in touch with Stef? -- s.seeuwen@XYZ.com
I didn't want to publish his actual e-mail without his/her permission. He says they've got a few sets of the bushings left at $26/set.
Now I find some thingamabobs on the boat which might be new bushings. I'll be trying 'em out but might be buying a set from Stef.
Stef has also fashioned some hatch tracks (bare without screw holes) for me, and they worked well.
As well Stef has rudder cheek plates ready to go sitting on his shelf in his shop. I'm going to take my rudder apart this season (if I don't sell the boat) and rebuild it, so I may be buying a set of those from him as well.
Finally you'll note he also has the wood blocks that make up the spacer for the rudder fashioned out of starboard. These are a great upgrade to anyone wanting to get the wood out of their rudder as much as possible. I know every year I pull them out and revarnish those wood blocks because they weather quite hard. Those are likely on my list of things to fix too.
Finally if you talk to Stef in person, remind him for me that Starboard tack is when the boom is on the port side and that port tack is "give way."
