Greetings:
I'm the new owner of hull number 45, a diesel equipped 7.9. It would appear my boat has been all over the place; the engine air filter housing has a sticker from New Jersey, the class association records show the boat is in Texas, and I brought the boat to Idaho from Madeira Bay, British Columbia, Canada. I've got lots of projects I'm tackling (mostly the trailer as the bearings and brakes really shouldn't have gotten me safely back 900 miles from Canada, but they did), but I'm curious if anyone is still making replacement sliding hatch covers. My cover is serviceable, but someone has taken an orbital sander to it and left sanding swirls all over it (looks deliberate for an opaque effect). Of course, I sent a note to Tiara, and they didn't laugh at me, in fact, they still have one part I need. A email to Mr. Wolczyk bounced back as undeliverable. So, I thought I would ask if anyone here knows if these covers can be reproduced?
Thanks-
Steve
Anyone still making sliding hatches?

Re: Anyone still making sliding hatches?
The hatch covers originally did come with a "sanded" finish for privacy and to reduce the sun load. If you replace it with an un-sanded one it will very quickly have many random scratches.
Re: Anyone still making sliding hatches?
