Is the core 1/2" thick?

I am needing to repair the core to an area near my bow. My wife is currently in Seattle, where she could pick up some core material for me and save me the outrageous shipping charges.

The company I am looking to buy from is called Fiberlay. They are recommending 1/2" PVC 80 as a core.

Should this work for repairing my bow under my stanchions?

Balsa core thickness in cabin top is 1/2" thick.

From what i can tell there is no core at the foredeck. It looks like solid glass in that area.

I have two cleats on the foredeck, also two near the aft corners. There is NO core at those locations on my boat. You can see light coming through on a sunny day!
