I wonder if anyone knows where to find a 'standard' S2 7.9 gooseneck toggle? I owe one to a local friend -- I couldn't find mine on my boat when it was delivered, so a local friend whose 7.9 is out of the water lent me his for the summer. I keep forgetting to measure the dimensions when I go sailing, figure someone here might save me an hour of driving by knowing of a suitable replacement.
I saw one other thread on the forums that never had an answer: viewtopic.php?t=231 .
Gooseneck toggle source?

Try these guys. I've used them (I think) and they were very good. Believe they are the folks who took over from previous owners. In Port Huron, Mich.
They supplied all the original S2 SS hardware.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfotunately Whitewater Marine struck out. I'll make some measurements and try some options from Rig-Rite, and post here if I meet with success.

Re: Gooseneck toggle source?
I took a different tack on this (pardon the pun). I was able to contact resident guru Paul Latour regarding this part, and he was kind enough to provide engineering drawings of the toggle. I'm now hunting around for a local-ish machine shop to make up a few in 316 stainless.
I'm planning to do a little production run depending upon cost. I owe one to a friend, want one spare, but also want to make up some extras and have them available to the class. Assuming that I can find a machine shop willing to do a small run, anyway =).

Re: Gooseneck toggle source?
I did finally get a run of these toggles made. I have 8 spares. Happy to sell them at a loss to class members. Also it seems that identical toggles were used by several other S2 boats, possibly the 8.0 and 30 footers.
'Course, my boat is currently a few hours away getting refurbished, so I haven't been able to check fit, but...at least they were made according to the engineering drawings that Paul provided =).
