Hatch boards ??

Anyone have a source for companionway hatch boards ??

Mine are getting pretty tired.

(Hope it's K to post this on "for sale/want to buy" thread as well.)

It seems like they'd be easy enough to duplicate but rules suggest that they'd need to match the originals as much as possible. Does anyone have specs for the original hatch boards?

I used McMaster-Carr SKU 8769K847 to replace the hatch boards and SKU 8769K821 to replace the covers over the board box. In both cases I used the old ones as a template and cut them with a jigsaw using a PVC cutting blade. They cut like butter and turned out great. I re-used the latch hardware from the old boards as well.

I will admit that the plastic hatch boards are a little on the heavy side compared to the factory plywood boards, but I wanted to do something that was going to be maintenance free for several years and crew-proofed. I also adjusted my cut lines to make it 3 hatch boards instead of 4.

I found the cupholders that I used for the board box covers on Amazon for about $20.

Great pix, MnM...thank you for sharing. Any chance you might be able to share the inventory make of the block/tackle/winch you have on the deck? I am finishing my restoration ...am going to be painting this month and want to upgrade some of the original equipment. Thanks in advance.

All 4 winches are Lewmar Evo 30s.

The Clutches are Spinlock XAS.

The rest of the stuff is mostly stock gear that came with the boat.
