Seeking advise......
We have races on Wednesday night main and jib only (using PHRF). The current class 7.9 rules don't address whisker poles (that I can see) so anything longer than the spinnaker pole length requires me to give up time to boats like......a Catalina 22 that has a 8' spinnaker pole and a 12' whisker pole max. with no extra adjustment due to C 22 class rules. Could the class consider a longer whisker pole length when using the genoa only to help on non spinnaker races with out damage to ODR requirements?
I have been out of the class for some time and I have just returned fron the dark side and am hoping to get back in the groove, thanks

Re: whisker pole....
Most PHRF rules state the whisker pole can not be larger than the foot length of the largest headsail. I would check with your area. Racing in PHRF their rules apply not our one class rules.
