So I'm about to take delivery of hull 216 which has been dry-sailed for some time. Boat has an interprotect bottom and no antifouling. Would anyone like to share their experience getting the boat up a few feet and off the trailer? I want to give it a once-over 600 grit sanding then apply vc17 in the spring before launch. I was thinking of making a partial cradle sort of set-up for the bow and maybe just jack-stands in back. It needs to be safe so I can get right under the boat. I did a search of the forum but there are too many hits searching trailer to be useful.
Thanks

I lower the tongue all the way down, put jack stands in the back then raise the tongue all the way up. That gives adequate clearance between the bunks and the hull to do the back. Then reverse it for the front (tongue all the way up, jack stands in place then lower tongue). 3rd year doing this and it works pretty well.
