Daggerboard and SA

This is a personal message to Grrr. Why are you bring this issue up on SA. It has never been an issue with our PHRF and NOW it will be. They have been looking for a reason to change our rating and now they have it.
The PHRF board all read SA and I'm sure we will be called cheaters now. Somethings are better left unsaid, be SMART. Leave somethings to the 7.9 board.

My apology to Grrr! You did a great job of defending the 7.9. I should have had the second cup of coffee before posting.
This a hot topic everwhere with PHRF and I'm sure I will have to fight the battle because of someones post on SA. A battle I have tried to avoid as I fought with PHRF where I used to sail, and lost. I don't want to have to do it again.
Once again Grrr, my mistake, sorry.

No problem Larry. I think the fact that MORC allows board up and down and has the exact same rating as PHRF should be proof enough that the PHRF rating is 1) correct, 2) has been observed with boats that RAISE the board.
