looking for used rudder blade--or shallow water rudder

Anybody have a used rudder blade for sale? . . . Or any ideas on sailing in shallow water. We sail a river that can have a month or two of shallow water in the summer and would like a used rudder to cut off 6-8" so that the standard rudder doesn't get stuck. We have tried sailing with it kicked up or pinned in a partially up position, but it'a workout. I realize a shorter rudder will compromise stability/handling, but it's better than not sailing at all!
Any ideas?

I have an original S2 rudder I keep as a spare that I could sell you. Could even modify it for you if you want.
