Thank you Tom(I assume it was you) for the write-up on the front page. I would have felt a little weird telling the tale(and probaly would have gotten it wrong).
As for the current, it was stronger than normal. I found out later that it was because the Conowingo Dam was almost wide open just before the regatta (probably wanted to make the bay a little deeper for the Volvo 70's). The output flow per second is listed below. TURN ON THE WATER!
A few special notes... This was Speedie's first 7.9 regatta and Club Car's second. Club Car has to win the award for most improved boat of the week. Just showing how far a little OD racing can go. We look forward to seeing both northeast boats here next year (bring a friend). Oh, I have a slightly used fog machine looking for a good home. And, the Annapolis PETA chapter just announced their 'Free Rubyn" campain.
I look forward to seeing everyone back in Annapolis next year(and Holland in August).
Thanks ,
Bob Fleck

Hey Bob - Congrats again on a great event and a great regatta for Horizon. It was nice to meet the Speedy guys. And you're right, Barry and the Club Car fellas really upped their game this year. Last year's A-NOOD was their first one design event. Next year if Mark, Bob and the Hunting Party crew can keep out of the current, they'll be a lot tougher as well. They had plenty of straight-line speed.Conowingo Dam
